Münchner Malerei “von heute”.
(“Munich Painting from ‘today’”)
1st Part:
July 01 - July 27, 1949
“In its June exhibition, the Kunstverein (Possartstrasse 24) showed ‘Münchner Malerei von Anno dazumal’, pictures and studies by Munich painters who lived approximately in the last third of the 19th century. This time he has made his beautiful rooms available to painters of the present, mainly from the ranks of the Genossenschaft and the Sezession. And the direction has succeeded in bringing together an exhibition, which does not need to fear the comparison with the simultaneous large show in the Städtische Galerie, by intelligently limiting it to the impeccable. The public should not be deterred from visiting by the designation ‘from today’. For what is shown here is, without exception, art without any problematics, to which one can effortlessly gain a relationship.” (Münchner Merkur, undated.
