Wolfgang Tillmans took the photo for this edition during a trip to Munich. It shows a fragmentary detail of the interior of a friend’s apartment. As in many of his works, Tillmans captures with a sensible and exploratory view, intimate living environments and situations of his closest friends. The pretended triviality of the motif in combination with its silent aesthetics can be read as a cross relevance to the litte and beautiful things in life.
